Lilly Garcia, 4-year-old girl killed in New Mexico road rage by Tony Torrez, Lilly Garia, the 4-year-old girl who was killed in a New Mexico road rage tragedy on Tuesday afternoon, was hit in the head by a bullet. Police say that the girl was shot in the head when she was riding inside a truck with her mother and father. A car pulled up to the side of them before firing a gun with one of the bullets fatally striking Garcia while on Interstate 40.
The driver that launched the New Mexico road rage attack was said to be in a "sportier" car that was either a dark red or maroon-colored 4-door Toyota. According to NBC News on October 21, the suspect who killed Lilly Garcia is described as either a white or dark-complected male, or possibly Hispanic, and in his mid-20s to early 30s. He's also described as having an average build with short dark hair and a goatee.
MSN reports that the suspect arrested in the killing of Lilly Garcia is Tony Torrez, 32. Police arrested him Wednesday night in the New Mexico road rage incident. He was arrested and also charged on a series of weapons violations in the death of the 4-year-old girl.
Lilly Garcia was killed when her father was attempting to exit off I-40 and another car forced him out of his lane. The two drivers exchanged words and that's when Torrez began firing his gun, hitting Garcia at least once in the head. The father tried administering CPR on his daughter ... and two nurses tried to revive her ... but she was pronounced dead after she was taken to the hospital.
