Prince Of Dubai Dies: Eldest Son Of Prime Minister Of Dubai Dead, Prince of Dubai dies of heart attack on Saturday. The country announced a three-day mourning period after the Prince of Dubai dies at the age of 33, according to USA Today. There are rumors that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum died of a drug overdose, but those reports have not been confirmed.

The eldest son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the ruler of Dubai and also the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. Rashid’s brother Sheikh Hamdan is the Crown Prince of Dubai.

According to the Dubai Media Office, funeral prayers of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum are to be held after Maghrib prayers at Zabeel Mosque in Dubai.The Prince of Dubai dies at an unusual age of 33, although there are rumors of a possible drug overdose. He was educated at the Rashid School for Boys. He then attended Sandhurst Military Academy in the United Kingdom and graduated in 2002.

He owned Zabeel Racing and United Holdings Group Dubai. The Prince Of Dubai was a principal partner of International Noor Islamic Bank. Sheikh Rashid’s personal net worth was estimated by Forbes in 2010 to be $1.9bn.

In January 2008, Prince of Dubai was appointed President of the UAE Olympic Committee. In 2010, Rashid resigned from his position, reportedly on account of his overloaded work schedule.

Shaikh Mohammad has received condolences from Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani at the Zabeel Palace, and from a number of government officials. Condolences will be received before Dhuhir prayers and after Asr prayers to Maghrib prayers. Shaikha Hind bint Maktoum Al Maktoum will also accept ladies condolences on the death of her son on Sunday and Monday at Zabeel Palace.On Monday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent the following condolence message to Shaikh Mohammad when he first heard about the Prince of Dubai’s death: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the sudden and untimely demise of your worthy son, His Highness Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammad Al Maktoum. With his passing away, a promising public career has been tragically cut short. In this hour of personal grief, our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and the people of UAE. The people of India join their UAE brothers and sisters in mourning this irreparable loss.”

Shaikh Mohammad also received condolences from Tammam Saeb Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon. During the meeting, which was attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad, the Lebanese prime minister expressed his grief for the great loss, praying to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the deceased with mercy and bestow patience and solace on the Al Maktoum family.

The Prince of Dubai was a well-known sports personality in the UAE, according to Al Arabiya. He was a keen equestrian and was the owner of Zabeel Stables. He had participated in a number of International competitions and won two gold medals in the 2006 Doha Asian Olympics 120km Endurance Individual Mixed as well as 120km Endurance Team Mixed events. He was also a fan of UK football and supported Manchester United.
