Kevin Garnett, Timberwolves agree to two-year deal, Kevin Garnett is returning for season No. 21.

A person with direct learning of the discussions tells The Associated Press that Garnett has consented to terms on a two-year contract to stay in Minnesota. The person spoke Tuesday on state of namelessness because the arrangement has not been declared.

Garnett starred in Minnesota for the first 12 years of his profession before being exchanged to Boston in 2007. He returned last February in an exchange due date manage the Brooklyn Nets and turned 39 in May.

After a passionate homecoming, Garnett played in just five games the rest of the season because of knee issues.

NBA contracts can't be signed until Thursday, per association rules.
