The Oscar-named performing artist, 52, slipped once more into his Pirates of the Caribbean getup for the visit, and was joined by costar Stephen Graham, who played privateer Scrum. The neighborly swashbucklers spent time with those staying in the Queensland hospital, blending with patients and their families, as well as hospital staff.
The Children's Hospital Foundation shared photos from the sweet stay on Facebook, written work, "Two extremely famous pirates made a special surprise visit to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital last night."
"Dressed in full costume, both Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and Stephen Graham as Scrum spent more than three hours having a genuine effect to sick kids and their families in hospital!" the subtitle continues. "Both actors flew in for the visit from the Gold Coast, arriving in a helicopter on the hospital's housetop as they required some serious energy out from shooting the following installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Sporting his trademark Sparrow dreadlocks, eyeliner, and layered clothing, Depp posed for photos with kids, shook hands with youngsters, and required significant investment for a meeting with the nearby television station.
The Edward Scissorhands star first turned into the adorably goofy privateer for 2003's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. He has come back to the part four times in the years since, as of now playing Jack Sparrow again for the up and coming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
