"Being a father is a standout amongst the most essential employments a man can have," the president wrote in a Father's Day announcement discharged Friday. "Where our own fathers missed the mark, we have a commitment to ascend and improve."
The president, who has frequently mourned his own dad's nonappearance, has since a long time ago encouraged fathers, particularly African-American fathers, to venture up to the plate.
"Today," he wrote in his decree, "we commend the men who give us unlimited love and backing, and who show us to lead lives of bravery and character."
