Elvis Presley Stamp, This summer, the King of Rock "n" Roll will be making an arrival appearance on a postage stamp.

The U.S. Postal Service declared today that Elvis Presley will be on a Forever stamp as a feature of its Music Icons series. The craftsmanship for the new stamp will be released at a later time.Elvis is a characteristic expansion to our Music Icon Series," Postmaster General Megan Brennan said in a statement. "His life and talents are an incredible story. Spanning from his unassuming beginnings in a Tupelo, Mississippi, two-room house to becoming a standout amongst the most incredible execution artists of the 20th Century, Elvis Presley's works keeps on resonating with millions the world over."

The stamp will be released Aug. 12, with a first-day-of-issue devotion function to be held at Memphis' Graceland as a feature of the Elvis Week festivities.

Presley, who passed on in 1977, first showed up on a U.S. postage stamp in 1993. He will join kindred musicians Johnny Cash, Lydia Mendoza, Ray Charles, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix in the Postal Service's Music Icons series that started in 2013.
