Royal family wish Meghan Markle a happy birthday amid rumoured feud, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and Kate Middleton have all wished Meghan Markle a happy 39th birthday.
Although rumours of a rift between Prince Harry and William have plagued the two brothers, the Kensington Royal Instagram page was still sure to wish the Duchess of Sussex well on her birthday.
‘Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!’ they wrote on their social media pages alongside a picture of Meghan smiling at their daughter Princess Charlotte.
The Royal Family social media pages wrote a similar caption of good wishes with a photo of Meg and Queen Liz standing side-by-side: ‘Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!’
Prince Charles and Camilla’s account, Clarence House also said: ‘Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!’
Meghan will wake up to the birthday celebrations from her home in Los Angeles after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stood down from their ‘senior duties’ in the royal family.
The birthday wishes come after explosive details have been revealed from a new tell-all book, Finding Freedom.
Prince Harry was reportedly mad about Meghan Markle however the Duke of Cambridge was more hesitant, allegedly telling Harry to take as much time as you need to get to know this girl’.
According to the book, Harry went ‘ballistic’ and found William’s use of the term ‘that girl’ to be ‘condescending’.
After his engagement to Meghan Markle, Prince William reportedly asked Prince Harry: ‘Are you sure about this?’
Harry responded by saying: ‘You’re trying to wreck this relationship before it’s even started.’
