Chris Rock monologue, Despite calls for him to step down from hosting the Oscars, Chris Rock is still MCing the event, but with a whole new monologue addressing the #OscarsSoWhite issue.
Oscars producer Reginald Hudlin told Entertainment Tonight at the NAACP Image Awards Saturday that Rock and his writing staff have "locked themselves in a room," because Rock decided to rewrite the show (which was finished a week ago) to address the controversy surrounding the Academy Awards.
Rock, who has called the Oscars the "White BET Awards" on Twitter, will likely address the show boycotts and Academy efforts to increase diversity.
"I have 1,000% confidence that he will deliver something that people will be talking about for weeks," said Hudlin.
