According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, Navy Strategic Systems Programs conducted the appointed Trident II (D5) missile analysis flight at sea from the Kentucky, an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine, in the Pacific Analysis Range off the bank of Southern California.
The analysis was allotment of a scheduled, advancing arrangement appraisal test, Cmdr. Ryan Perry with the Navy's Third Fleet told the Union-Tribune.
Perry said launches are conducted on a frequent, alternating base to ensure the connected believability of the system. "Each analysis action provides admired advice about our systems, appropriately accidental to affirmation in our capabilities," he said in a statement.
