Tony Hawk Helping Develop New Hendo Hoverboard “Watch”

Tony Hawk Helping Develop New Hendo Hoverboard “Watch”, Hoverboard pioneers Arx Pax have confirmed they will formally showcase their second-generation Hendo Hoverboard on the very day that Marty McFly is set to pop up in our world and thwart Biff’s dastardly ways – October 21, if you don’t already know.

The original Hendo Hoverboard made floating waves last year when skate legend Tony Hawk took it for a ride at the company’s HQ.

Now, Hawk has been helping out on the design of the new model, slimming the device down to give it a look and feel closer to that of a traditional skateboard.

Like its predecessor, the Hendo Hoverboard 2.0 uses electromagnets to float above specially prepared, metallic substrate-hosting surfaces, so sadly you’re not going to be able to take it for a spin down the street, and certainly not over water.

There are a number of differences with the new model, though. Version 2.0 plays host to a stronger, more efficient power system and a more controllable steering mechanism.
