SEE IT: Heartwarming photo of Louisiana police officer comforting lost boy goes viral, A touching photo of a Louisiana police officer holding a lost little boy in his arms has gone viral.

The heartwarming image of Crowley cop David Taylor comforting a distressed boy who got separated from his parents at a crowded festival has lit up the Internet after it surfaced on Facebook this week.

"He was extremely upset," Taylor told ABC News on Tuesday. "I put him on my shoulders to see if he would be able to see his parents. He started to fall asleep, and I moved him down to my chest."The police officer who was patrolling the International Rice Festival in Crowley, La., over the weekend wandered around the festival grounds for at least 30 minutes looking for the boy's parents.

He finally took the boy back to the police station, where he continued to sleep on chairs, KATC-TV reported. The boy's grateful grandmother later retrieved him, according to the local news station.

Taylor, who has been with the Crowley police force for 18 months, said his actions weren't heroic and were common of his fellow Crowley police officers.

"At the end of the day, I only did what all my colleagues were doing," he said. "It's just that this one was caught on camera."
