Steven Tyler Moscow, The Aerosmith frontman surprised fans in Moscow, Russia on Friday when he suddenly began performing with a street musician. Accompanied by the busker on an acoustic guitar, the two sang the band's 1998 power ballad, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."After they were done, Tyler, 67, gave the guy a high five and posed for pics with him as a small crowd that had gathered cheered.
"Spasiba [thank you]!" a woman exclaimed.
The song was featured on the soundtrack to the movie Armageddon, which stars the rocker's daughter Liv Tyler, 38, and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, where it remained for about five months.
This is not the first time Steven has surprised street musicians with a duet performance. In 2014, he joined two female buskers in Lithuania who played Aerosmith's 1993 hit "Crazy" on a violin and accordion.
Aerosmith gave a free concert at Lubyanskaya Square on Saturday to celebrate Moscow City Day. The band performed "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" as well as hits such as "Love in an Elevator," Dream On," "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)," "Cryin'" and "Walk This Way."
Several photos from the band's gig and trip were posted on the group's social media pages.
"LANDED IN MOSCOW...WHEN I'M GOOD...I'M VERY GOOD..." Steven said on Instagram several days ago, along with a photo of himself. "BUT WHEN I'M BAD I'M EVEN BETTER...BUT GET SENT TO THE KACCA ROOM."
The "Kacca Room" is actually a ticket office at a train station.
