Peyton Manning 70,000 Yards

Peyton Manning 70,000 Yards, Peyton Manning eclipsed 70,000 career passing yards on Thursday against the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs.Manning, 39, needed just 134 yards to reach the mark and was able to accumulate that much in the second week of the season, making him the second player to ever reach 70,000 yards. Brett Favre, the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards, is the only other player to accomplish the feat and has a career passing total of 71,838 yards.

In 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, Manning racked up 54,828 yards and in just over three seasons with the Denver Broncos, he has already added more than 15,000 yards to his career total.

Manning is already the NFL's all-time leader in touchdown passes and is tied with Tony Gonzalez, Bruce Matthews and Merlin Olsen for the most all-time Pro Bowl appearances, at 14.

While the 39-year-old's best days are likely behind him, some of his most prolific seasons have come in Denver in recent years and there are still plenty of reasons to think he has enough in the tank to make the Broncos offense an elite one.

That said, Manning looked depleted and frustrated in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, a game in which he posted a quarterback rating of 26.4 after completing 24 of 40 passes for 175 yards with no touchdowns and an interception.

Thursday's game against the Chiefs didn't start out well either, with Manning throwing a pick-six in the second quarter.
