Emily Ratajkowski says 'Blurred Lines' video is the bane of her existence, American model and actress Emily Ratajkowski has said that starring in Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' video is the "bane of [her] existence".
The 2013 video gained notoriety for showing naked women and was accused of glorifying rape culture.Talking to InStyle magazine, the 24-year-old, who appeared topless in the video, has revealed that she was not "into the idea at all at first".
"I think I came off as a bit annoyed in the video. Now, it's the bane of my existence," she told InStyle.
"When anyone comes up to me about 'Blurred Lines', I'm like, are we seriously talking about a video from three years ago?"Ratajkowski, who has starred in films such as Gone Girl, Entourage and We Are Your Friends, also talked about society's perception of the female body in the interview.
"It's weird to me that the reaction to a woman's naked body is so controversial in our culture. My mum taught me to never apologise for my sexuality. My dad never made me feel embarrassed.
"I also don't think I've ever had an awareness of my own body as being super-sexual. It was always just my body."
