The dead are a man and a lady, police said in an announcement. A man has been captured on suspicion of homicide.
Ikea representative Anna Pilkrona-Godden said that the Erikslund mall containing the store had been shut.
The harmed casualty is a man of around 35, Swedish TV reported, refering to observers.
"He was acquired from the site of the episode with life-undermining wounds," Lena Moren, the head obligation medical caretaker at Vasteras doctor's facility, told the SVT open supporter.
Police said in an announcement: "We discovered a man and a lady who had blade wounds and who later kicked the bucket of their injuries."
