The hashtag “#WeLoveYouMisha” began going viral earlier in the day when another actor from the show and an organizer of the “MinnCon” event said Collins had been assaulted, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

“Hey guys! Thanks for all the well-wishes!,” Collins, who plays Castiel the angel on the show, wrote on Twitter. “Just want u to know I've just got some minor scrapes. I'm totally fine! Love u guys.”

Jim Beaver, a fellow star from the horror series about a pair of brothers who hunt evil supernatural beings, had written about the incident in a Facebook post that was later deleted, according to E! Online.

"My buddy and Supernatural colleague Misha Collins was followed out of a restaurant in Minneapolis by three men last night and beaten and robbed," Beaver wrote. “He's all right, more or less, with some stitches and a fat lip.”Collins would appear for his scheduled photo ops at the convention, Beaver noted. Several fans Tweeted that Collins showed up in stitches after missing a panel earlier in the day on Saturday, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Minneapolis Police Department spokesman John Elder heard about the apparent mugging but hadn’t received any official notifications or reports from MPD staff about it, he told the Daily News on Saturday night.

“We have not confirmed this incident to anyone,” he said in an email.
