Rosie O'Donnell's Daughter Chelsea Moves In With Birth Mom As 18th Birthday Hits, This week has brought more upheaval to the family of Rosie O'Donnell and her daughter Chelsea. Just a matter of days after Chelsea had gone missing and was found with an older man, the teen turned 18-years-old and left the home again. This time, reports indicate, Chelsea has gone to live with her biological mother. People shares that Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea turned 18 on Monday and that is apparently all she needed to prompt a fresh departure.
Upon legally becoming an adult, Chelsea left adoptive mother Rosie and headed to Wisconsin to live with Deanna Micoley, her birth mother. Rosie adopted Chelsea as an infant. However, the family has made headlines in the past year or so as Micoley started speaking out about the adoption. Deanna and Chelsea made contact some time ago and it things seemingly have been rocky in O'Donnell's household since then. A source for the family says that Chelsea had made a decision that she would go live with Micoley as soon as she turned 18. It would seem she has been wanting to do this for a while and as soon as she was able, she moved forward.
This has been a very difficult year for Rosie O'Donnell. She went back to "The View" as a co-host last fall, but departed just a few months into the new season to focus on her family. O'Donnell split with wife Michelle Rounds this past fall and and as Us Weekly shared, O'Donnell's father Edward passed away this past week.
TMZ says that Micoley drove from her Wisconsin home to O'Donnell's home in New Jersey to pick Chelsea up, and Rosie tried to talk her out of leaving. Chelsea left anyway, and sources indicate that Rosie has told Chelsea that she will be financially cut off as a result of the decision to move away. Rosie's team has maintained that Chelsea's adoption was legitimate and ethical, despite allegations made by Micoley in recent months. Whether Chelsea will find happiness in Wisconsin with her birth mother after such a tumultuous year remains to be found, but fans of Rosie O'Donnell and her family are hoping for the best.
