Large Sinkhole (Hell Gate?) Opens in Brooklyn,The police have closed off the convergence of Fifth Avenue and 64th Street in Brooklyn's Sunset Park as an enormous sinkhole opened up around 7:30 am Tuesday morning, taking the vast majority of the road corner with it.

MyFoxNY reports that there are no reported wounds from the breakdown.

National Grid specialists are on the scene to chip away at influenced gas lines, and the north bound N train is anticipating that defers due should the destruction, CBSNewYork reports. The footage of the sinkhole shows no less than one separated channel, and the water lines to a few adjacent organizations have supposedly been cut off.It isn't yet clear what brought on the sinkhole or whether there was any carelessness in keeping up the street that prompted the breakdown.
