Israeli Broken Arm

Israeli Broken Arm, Video of an Israeli soldier, manhandling and aggressively handling a boy with a broken arm, is going viral this week. The incident occurred in a small Palestinian settlement in the central West Bank, where villagers have been staging protests for years against Israel's settlement policies.Writes CNN on Aug. 30: “An armed Israeli soldier attempts to arrest an 11-year-old Palestinian boy with his arm in a cast on Friday, August 28, during a protest against settlement construction in the village of Nabi Saleh in the West Bank.”

In the video, the soldier is seen running over and attempting to subdue the screaming boy, whose left arm is in a full cast over the elbow. The boy was reportedly throwing rocks at soldiers.

Within minutes, relatives of the boy surround the soldier and attempt to free the young child. The masked soldier is punched multiple times and tries to fend off the women while still placing the boy in a chokehold. Another soldier eventually arrives and the boy is released.

Adds NewsMax: “The Israeli military said Sunday that a ‘violent riot’ broke out at the protest and that it tried to detain the boy because he was throwing rocks. The military says the boy was released ‘to prevent an escalation of violence.’”

The boy’s father, identified as Bassem Tamimi, said: “This is very difficult for any father or mother to see their son or daughter in that way, being violently attacked.” Tamimi’s wife and daughter both attempted to free the boy; at one point the 15-year-old daughter can be seen biting the soldier.

“I cannot stand by and see my brother near death,” said A’hd Tamimi, the boy’s sister. “Of course, I will go and help him. The soldier used way too much force. He is a young child with a broken arm, what is he able to do?”

Various videos uploaded to YouTube of the incident have been viewed millions of times.
