"While both of us have arrived at the common choice that we will never again be accomplices in marriage, we remain accomplices in parenthood and are focused on mutually bringing our three children up in an upbeat and solid environment," the couple said in an announcement. "To that end, we deferentially ask for security from the media amid this time."
The 45-year-old "Hollaback Girl" vocalist refered to beyond reconciliation contrasts. The couple additionally at the same time requested joint guardianship of their three youngsters - 9-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma and 1-year-old Apollo.
Gavin, 49, and Gwen did not have a prenuptial assention, TMZ reported.
Gavin, who is the lead vocalist of Bush, served as a guide on "The Voice" while Gwen was judging in 2014. Amid a public interview for the show, Gwen opened up about living up to expectations with him.
"I about-faced and forward about having Gavin on [the show] in light of the fact that we have just worked together on children some time recently. ... They turned out truly adorable. ... He breeds well," she said. "I was truly overpowered that Gavin was really going to be on [the show] with me, and we got in a little quarrel over it the prior night on the grounds that I was similar to, 'I don't know whether I can deal with this.
