Will Eisner Comic Industry Award winners, The 27th Annual Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards were held Friday night at San Diego Comic-Con, perceiving accomplishments in the comic medium in the course of the most recent twelve months. In a service that highlighted Edward James Olmos, Orlando Jones and Battlestar Galactica's Kandyse McClure and Tahmoh Penikett, victors of the night included web visual artist Emily Carroll, Image Comics' Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples and the fan-most loved Lumberjanes arrangement.
Notwithstanding the victors of the classes reported in April, various different recompenses were passed out on Friday night, including the Bill Finger Award for Excellence in Comic Book Writing — named after the fanciful essayist of DC's Batman whose commitments to the character's creation and mythos went authoritatively unrecognized for a considerable length of time — which went to Little Lulu essayist John Stanley, and the Spirit of Comics Retailer Award, which was given to Packrat Comics in Hilliard, Ohio.
Four inventors were enlisted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame amid the function: incredible X-Men author Chris Claremont, who kidded that he'd got his begin at Marvel on the grounds that Stan Lee preferred the thought of an unpaid school assistant, craftsman John Byrne, distributer and sketch artist Denis Kitchen and essayist/craftsman Frank Miller, whose recompense was acknowledged by DC Entertainment co-distributer Jim Lee.Best Short Story
