US Women's soccer team parade

US Women's soccer team parade, The confetti will be flying when the city holds a parade for the U.S. ladies' soccer group to commend its World Cup triumph.

Chairman Bill de Blasio's organization declared Tuesday that the parade has been booked for Friday at 11 a.m. in lower Manhattan, along Broadway from the Battery to City Hall, known as the Canyon of Heroes. The festival will incorporate a system at City Hall.

The group vanquished Japan 5-2 on Sunday in Canada to win the World Cup. The ladies were feted at a rally in Los Angeles and have been welcome to the White House.

The New York Yankees have gotten parades when they've won the World Series, and the New York Giants have been commended when they've won the Super Bowl, most as of late in 2012.

Despite the fact that the ladies' soccer group is a national group and not a neighborhood one, the objection to respect the players with a parade had been intense. Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer had composed to de Blasio, saying the ladies were amazing illustrations and it was a decent chance to respect a ladies' group.

The occasions have been known as ticker-tape parades, from the ticker tape that was given downward on those being praised from individuals in the adjacent structures. The tape has been supplanted by paper confetti.
