Man Fights Cougar, Sounds insane, isn't that so? All things considered, for one Vancouver man, that is precisely what happened when a cougar grabbed up his small scale dachshund, Bailey. Shawn Hanson said he came toe-to-toe with a wild cougar after it caught his adored pet.

"I see something out of the edge of my eye and a cougar bounced out around 10 to 15 away and simply grabbed the pooch," Hanson reviewed to ABC News. "It put her paw down and her mouth around her [Bailey's] neck and began dragging her.

"She [Bailey] was making truly boisterous howling commotions like I'd never listened."

The occurrence occurred over the occasion weekend as Hanson and his companions were exploring the great outdoors at Salmon Beach in Ucluelet, British Columbia. After the gathering came back from an angling trek, the cougar rose up out of the forested areas, got the pooch, and dragged her over into the brambles. It was then that Hanson's adrenaline kicked in, and he took off after the wild creature.

"I simply continued pushing the hedges so I could see and dropped down into a sloppy, dry rivulet," he said. "I had the capacity spring out of the mud and was shouting at it the entire time."Putting his own security at danger, Hanson snatched a clench hand loaded with the cougar's hide, pulled his arm back, and punched the creature in the face until it let go of the one-year-old dachshund.

"I had the capacity cockerel back and punch the cougar in the face and it sort of went cross-looked at and simply dropped the canine," he said, by. "My beginning believed was that it would begin swiping at me, yet it sat there kind of disoriented. I was simply diminished at that point."Hanson then come back to the shoreline with his harmed pooch, which was alive however harmed. Subsequent to verifying Bailey was sheltered, he came back to the forested areas with a shotgun close by. He needed to shoot two shots before the creature at last went down."It was still in the same area from when I punched it," Hanson said. "It jumped forward to show signs of improvement take a gander at me, so I shot a notice shot off to the side. I could've stepped back, yet it was prepared to spring and was just 20 feet away."
