Trevor Moore Sailor, Subsequent to covering more than 500 square nautical miles in its chase for missing Olympic mariner Trevor Moore, the U.S. Coast Guard suspended the three-day look Saturday evening.
"Our musings and supplications to God go out to the friends and family influenced," Capt. Michael Long of the Coast Guard said in a news discharge, by means of the Associated Press. "Regardless of the vigorous hunt endeavors by various organizations and great Samaritans, we were not able to discover Mr. Moore."
The Coast Guard reported early Friday it was hunting down a man after an inflatable dinghy was discovered afloat close Dinner Key, in the Coconut Grove region of Miami.
Moore, 30, contended in the 2012 London Olympics and completed 15th with captain Eric Storck in the 49er class. As per a post on his Facebook page, Moore was most recently seen around 1 p.m. ET Thursday at the U.S. Cruising Center in Coconut Grove before taking off alone on his vessel.
