Stephen A. Smith Allen Iverson, Stephen A. Smith demands Allen Iverson was not inebriated when the previous NBA star went on his scandalous "practice" rage in 2002, and Smith safeguarded Iverson in the most Stephen A. Smith-path conceivable on Friday morning.
Amid the most recent release of the terrible "First Take," Smith spent over five minutes raving about how close he is with Iverson. Clearly a 45-moment talk with Iverson on Friday drove Smith to the conclusion that its absolutely impossible the data about the "practice" rage in Kent Babb's new book is exact.
"That is a level out untruth," Smith said. "Allen Iverson was not plastered the day he had that question and answer session about practice."
How does Smith know this? Since there's nobody in the universe that knows Iverson better than Stephen An., obviously.
"I've known Allen Iverson for a long time," Smith said, as translated by Eric Goldschein of Sports Grid. "Allen Iverson and I talk consistently. We talked early today for 45 minutes. I may know a thing or two about b-ball. I may know a thing or two around a long of things. I know a whale of a ton all the more about Allen Iverson. I challenge any columnist to let you know they know him superior to anything I do."
For a brief moment there, I practically thought we were watching that great Stephen A. Smith parody that was on "Saturday Night Live" a while back. This fellow can't in any way, shape or form consider himself important.
