Sister Act' Remake,Disney is adding to a revamp of the 1992 Whoopi Goldberg comic drama "Sister Act," TheWrap has affirmed.
Karen McCullah and Kirsten Smith, the essayists behind 2001's "Legitimately Blonde" are connected to compose the script. The pair likewise cooperated on the female-focused comedies "10 Things I Hate About You" and "She's the Man."
Alli Shearmur is appended to deliver. She already teamed up with Disney on the current year's real to life redesign of "Cinderella," which earned $531 million around the world.
In the first "Sister Act," Goldberg played a Vegas lounge artist who goes into witness insurance at religious community when her mobster beau (Harvey Keitel) puts a hit out on her. Her freewheeling ways place her in direct resistance with the strict Mother Superior, played by Maggie Smith.The film was a film industry achievement, netting more than $230 million around the world. It generated a continuation in 1993, "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit."
