Rapper Rick Ross arrested on kidnapping, assault charges, Rapper Rick Ross is confronting capturing and strike charges after a U.S. Marshals Service outlaw team and representatives captured him at his manor south of Atlanta early Wednesday, powers said.
Ross and a man depicted as his bodyguard were taken into authority in Fayette County, Jim Joyner, a chief with the Marshals' Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, told The Associated Press.
Ross — whose genuine name is William Roberts — was being held in the Fayette County Jail on charges of seizing, exasperated ambush and disturbed battery, Joyner said. The bodyguard, whose name wasn't discharged, faces the same charges.
Officers appeared at the house, once claimed by boxer Evander Holyfield, yet somebody inside declined to open the door prompting the home, powers said.
"They declined to open the entryway, so we opened the door for them," Joyner said.
When officers moved beyond the entryway, somebody inside opened the front entryway so they didn't need to separate it, Joyner said. Ross and the bodyguard were then taken into guardianship without occurrence, Joyner said.
"They didn't set up a battle or anything," he said.
Joyner said points of interest of the charges would need to originate from Fayette County powers, who weren't promptly accessible Wednesday morning.
It wasn't known whether Ross has a lawyer who could be reached for input taking care of business regarding this issue. A message left at Maybach Music Group, Ross' record name, was not instantly returned Wednesday morning.
It was second time in the previous two weeks Ross has been captured in Fayette County. On June 10, Ross was set up for the district imprison on a wrongdoing indictment of cannabis ownership.
