Oscar Pistorius parole, South African Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius may be discharged from jail on parole in August subsequent to serving just 10 months for guilty murder in the killing of his model sweetheart Reeva Steenkamp.

"Oscar will be discharged on parole before the end of August," a Pistorius relative who requested that not be distinguished told Reuters Monday. Pistorius began his five year sentence in October a year ago.

South African jail authorities have prescribed Pistorius be discharged from jail on Aug. 21 to go under house capture. Acting National Commissioner of Correctional Services Zach Modise says that a jail board of trustees prescribed Pistorius be discharged from the jail in Pretoria subsequent to serving one 6th of his five-year sentence. A choice by the parole board is pending.

The court has not yet set a definite date for the request, court enlistment center Paul Myburgh told The Associated Press, yet it will be in November. That will be three months after Pistorius is qualified for discharge from jail to serve the rest of his present sentence, under house capture.
