John Hurt Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer, Veteran British on-screen character John Hurt has been determined to have pancreatic malignancy. The 75-year-old star is experiencing treatment and stays hopeful about his future, proclaiming he plans to keep working for whatever length of time that conceivable and is to continue with arrangements to record an up and coming radio play for BBC Radio 4.
He says in an announcement, "I have dependably been open about the path in which I direct my life and in that soul I might want to create an impression. I have as of late been determined to have early stage pancreatic disease. I am experiencing treatment and am more than idealistic around a tasteful result, as in fact is the therapeutic group.
"I am keeping on focussing on my expert responsibilities and will in a matter of seconds be recording [the play] "Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell" (one of life's little incongruities!) for BBC Radio 4."
The news comes months after Hurt was honored a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in her New Year's Honors List.
