Gap Closing Stores, San Francisco-based retailer Gap Inc. reported that it will close around 175 North American stores "over the course of the following couple of years."
The move is a piece of an "armada enhancement (that will) better reflect how clients shop."
There are 25 Gap outlets, Gap, GapKids and babyGap in Michigan. Eight stores fall inside of Metro Detroit.
