"It was exceptionally bold and valiant, if not insane as well, to start shooting at the police central station, and now you have this scene, this standoff," Fredricka Whitfield said Saturday while addressing lawful examiner Philip Holloway.
The shooter raged the Dallas Police central command early Saturday morning, driving a shielded van supplied with explosives. He was killed by police after an hourslong standoff. Nobody else was hurt.
Whitfield said on Sunday that she "misspoke."
"I misspoke, and not the slightest bit accept the shooter was gutsy, nor fearless," she said.
