Cicadas Attack : Kansas reporter’s ‘freakout’ spurred by heckling cicadas, A Kansas columnist can include "viral star" to her resume after a clasp of her on-camera "freakout" prodded by 17-year cicadas made the rounds on the web.

Katya Leick, a correspondent for KSNT-TV, moved on a tank Tuesday at U.S. Armed force base Fort Riley to convey a report on live-fire drills, yet she was over and over interfered with mid-sentence by the huge, uproariously humming creepy crawlies flying near to her face - at one point about going into her mouth.

"Each time I attempted to begin talking, they'd come. I was similar to, 'I have to hold it together, go ahead, I simply need to accomplish this with,'" Leick told ABC News.

Leick, who shared an assemblage of her cicada issues from the shoot on YouTube, said she has a comical inclination about her "freakout."
