Astronauts Return To Earth, A three-man group from the International Space Station landed securely in the steppes of Kazakhstan on Thursday after a more extended than-anticipated orbital stretch.
NASA space explorer Terry Virts, Samantha Cristoforetti of the European Space Agency and Russia's Anton Shkaplerov came back to Earth following 199 days on the station, about a month longer than arranged.
Their Soyuz container arrived on timetable at 7:44 p.m. neighborhood time (1344 GMT; 9:44 a.m. EDT) around 145 kilometers (90 miles) southeast of the city of Dzhezkazgan.
Subsequent to sliding gradually under a striped parachute, the art touched down delicately under the sun-splashed steppe. Russian helicopters humming around the arrival territory immediately conveyed inquiry and salvage groups to bail the space travelers escape from the case and rapidly check their condition.
The mission's expansion was created by the fizzled dispatch of a Russian freight send in April.
The Soyuz rocket that fizzled in April is utilized to dispatch shuttle conveying teams, so Russian space authorities deferred the team's arrival and further dispatches pending an examination.
A Soyuz rocket effectively dispatched a satellite a week ago. Another Soyuz will dispatch a Progress payload boat to the station in ahead of schedule July to be trailed by the dispatch of another team later in the month.
The new group will join Russians Gennady Padalka and Mikhail Kornienko, and NASA's Scott Kelly, who have stayed in circle.
