The 83 bunnies were not being sold as furry pets. Maybe, they were being sold for their fur, meat, and as live reptile food. The proprietor's chosen they no more needed to raise them, so they essentially couldn't have cared less what transpired once they were no more.

"The reproducers had been offering rabbits for fur, meat, and reptile food, and now that they no more needed the business, they absolutely couldn't have cared less what purchasers did with the 83 bunnies they had cleared out."

Subsequent to going to the home and seeing what deplorable conditions the creatures were living in, PETA arranged an arrangement with the reproducers to take the majority of the remaining bunnies.

"The pens were raised off the ground, however there were just heaps of excrement underneath every one of them," veterinarian Heather Rally said in a feature discharged by PETA. "One of the first things that I saw was that there was a creature that was at that point dead in his confine."

Subsequent to taking the bunnies to the San Diego Humane Society, they experienced physical examinations. What they found was horrific. Large portions of the rabbits had horribly tainted injuries on their feet from living their whole lives strolling on wire. Others had serious dental illnesses, and one was notwithstanding missing an ear.Rally and a gathering of volunteers set the creatures up a temporary home at the haven, which they said the rabbits quickly began exploring.

"They really began exploring very quickly," Rally said. "Everybody was so glad to perceive how they adjusted."

It was the first occasion when that the rabbits had the capacity "bounce around on soft surfaces NOT wire confine bottoms" and "experience affection and benevolence."

Once the 83 bunnies are given a clean bill of wellbeing, they will be set up for selection by the sympathetic culture as pets, not reptile food, where they can live upbeat lives with an adoring crew.
