Virginia Mom Thanks White State Trooper for Not Stereotyping Her Son, A Virginia State Trooper's demonstration of benevolence has gotten him a ton of consideration from one adoring mother.
Dr. Nothing Owusu's child, Joseph, was driving home from an exam at Virginia Tech on May 14 when one of his tires had "passed over his auto," ABC News partner WSET-TV/ABC 13 covered Tuesday.
As per a post on Facebook, Dr. Owusu composed that Virginia State Trooper Matt Okes "got on his knees to supplant his tire" and "gave everything the needed insurance" until 2 a.m.In the post, Dr. Owusu composed the trooper never addressed why her child was driving a Mercedes, simply showed up and attempted to offer assistance.
"I needed to say thanks to him and offer it with my Facebook companions about how a cop helped my child," she told ABC News today. "It was late in the night and he stayed with my child for four hours. I was expecting 50, possibly 100, companions to like it. At that point it became famous online and I was amazed."
Dr. Owusu told WSET that Joseph was in a risky territory in light of the fact that "the street is breathtaking [and] there are no lights."
Owusu said she opened up to the world about the occurrence since she was attempting to offer acknowledgment to the trooper for keeping her child safe on the grounds that "it was exceptionally consoling to me as a mother."
Presently, that acknowledgment has been shared more than 22,000 times and generally remarked on - including by Montel Williams - who said, "Thankful that your child is OK, furthermore appreciative that you shared Trooper Okes' demonstration of gallant generosity with the world."
In an announcement, Okes said, "The consideration the photograph has produced on social networking has been overpowering and I surely wasn't anticipating that the photograph should get as much consideration as it has. I was essentially doing my occupation as some other Virginia state trooper would. I admire the kind remarks by Dr. Owusu and am happy Joseph and his guardians had the capacity at last make it home safe. I am respected to be an individual from the Virginia state police and am honored by God to serve and ensure."
