"I spent the early piece of my life attempting to end up somebody that I wasn't," Armstrong admits to Winfrey. "Also, I think a ton of it needs to do with the disgrace and the blame and everything I was conveying from my past."
This isn't the first run through something about Armstrong's grieved past has been made open. Her ex, the late Russell Armstrong, used to physically and rationally misuse her, the Inquisitr reports.
Armstrong needed to veil the torment of her damaging relationship by attempting to change herself into somebody even she couldn't perceive.
"I got new lips and new bosoms and changed my hair," Armstrong says. "It was anything I could do to attempt to wind up another person."
