Seton Hall University Priest Claims He Was Fired for Supporting LGBT Rights on Facebook

Seton Hall University Priest Claims He Was Fired for Supporting LGBT Rights on Facebook, Reverend Warren Hall, a Catholic minister who served Seton Hall University games groups, is asserting he's been terminated for openly supporting LGBT rights on Facebook.

"I've been let go from SHU for posting a pic on FB supporting LGBT 'NO H8.' I'm sorry it was met with this reaction. I'll miss my work here," Hall said in a now-erased Tweet.

Despite the fact that most Catholic universities are established and keep running by religious requests like Jesuits, Seton Hall was made and keeps on being run straightforwardly by the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey.

"Seton Hall University does not remark on faculty matters," Laurie A. Pine, a representative for Seton Hall, said in an announcement. "The Archbishop of Newark selects the Director of Campus Ministry, who serves at his watchfulness."

SHU understudy Ethan Kraft began a Change.org appeal to have Hall reestablished. As of this written work, it has a little more than 1,600 marks.

Lobby Tweeted a message to his supporters taking after the discussion.
