Report: Former Texan Antonio Smith being investigated for child abuse

Report: Former Texan Antonio Smith being explored for youngster misuse, Former Texans protective end Antonio Smith, who played for the group from 2009-13, is being examined for kid ill-use in Fort Bend County, TMZ reported early Thursday.

Accoridng to the report, Fort Bend County head prosecutor John Healey affirmed its youngster misuse division is taking care of the body of evidence against Smith. No charges have been documented. He told the Denver Post the office has been evaluating the matter for quite a long time.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office issued a news discharge Thursday evening saying it got a protestation of a criminal assertion against Smith in November 2014.

"As indicated by Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls, the assertion against Mr. Smith was sexual in nature," the discharge said. "The Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division directed a careful examination and exhibited the data to the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office for survey in February, 2015."

Smith marked with the Denver Broncos amid the offseason subsequent to playing for the Oakland Raiders last season.

"The previous evening, we got to be mindful surprisingly of a charge including Antonio Smith," the Broncos said in an announcement Thursday. "We are currently during the time spent assembling more data."
