Prolific bassist Louis Johnson dead at 60, Louis Johnson (imagined, right), the establishing individual from funk aggregate the Brothers Johnson, who went ahead to wind up Michael Jackson's bass player, has passed on, matured 60. Paying tribute to Johnson on Friday (22May15), Jones told Rolling Stone, "Louis 'Thunder Thumbs' Johnson was one of the best bass players to ever get the instrument.

"As an individual from the Brothers Johnson, we shared many years of mystical times cooperating in the studio and visiting the world. From my collections Body Heat and Mellow Madness, to their platinum collections Look Out for #1, Right On Time, Blam and Light Up the Night, which I created, to Michael's performance introduction Off the Wall, I considered Louis a center individual from my generation group. He was a dear and darling companion and sibling, and I will miss his vicinity and delight of life consistently."
