Melissa mccarthy hollywood walk of fame

Melissa mccarthy hollywood walk of fame, McCarthy was joined by her husband Ben Falcone, who she has collaborated with on such films as Bridesmaids, Identity Thief and The Heat. The couple, who have been married for ten years, were joined by another two of McCarthy's collaborators talk show host and comedian, Ellen Degeneres. Director Paul Feig also attended the ceremony. Feig has directed McCarthy in Bridesmaids, The Heat and Spy.

McCarthy delivered an emotional and humble speech in which she expressed her constant surprise at her luck in having a successful career.

"I still can't believe what is happening and where I'm standing right now, it's a little overwhelming in the best of ways, I need a moment to process what is happening," she said (via Irish Examiner). "I feel slightly like I'm in the middle of a fever dream and that's kind of reasonable because later when I try to describe what is happening right now I would have a hard time convincing somebody of the following: I was on Hollywood Boulevard getting my star and Ellen DeGeneres was there and said nice things.

"And then I will have to say the super fancy director Paul Feig also said lovely things about me and we are on our third movie, going into our fourth movie together which seems, again, like I've gone nuts."

McCarthy was also thankful for her happy family life. She has been married to Falcone since 2005 and they have two children together, Vivian (age 8) and Georgette (age 5).Then I would have to say, 'Remember that really cute guy Ben Falcone who I had a crush on in [improv group] Groundlings? I'm married to him in the dream and we have two kids and I don't think anybody is going to believe me."

"If I had told myself any of these things 10 years ago I would have assumed I was having a nervous breakdown. I cannot be more delighted this is real."

McCarthy's star is one of 2500 which lines the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Walk was created in 1953 and, after development and negotiations with L.A. authorities, the first series of stars were laid in 1958. This year's recipients include Will Ferrell, Seth MacFarlane, Jim Parsons, Amy Poehler, Sofia Vergara, Peter Jackson, Daniel Radcliffe, Paul Rudd and Christoph Waltz. The fictional character Snoopy will also honoured with a star.
