Martina McBride Sexism: Radio Consultant Uses Sexism When Comparing Female Singers, Martina McBride is hammering sexist down home music radio which, as per one advisor, won't get great evaluations unless you take ladies out of the turn. McBride took to Facebook after Keith Hill, an expert for more than 300 blue grass music radio stations, told Country Aircheck magazine, "In the event that you need to make appraisals in Country radio, take females out."
Hill went ahead to outrage McBride by saying, "Trust me, I play extraordinary female records and we've got some at this time; they're just not the lettuce in our serving of mixed greens. The lettuce is Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and craftsmen like that. The tomatoes of our serving of mixed greens are the females."
McBride, who has sold a great many records, has legitimately taken offense, and composed on Facebook, "Amazing… ..simply stunning." She asks her 1.7 million Facebook devotees, a large number of whom are ladies, "Do you not care to hear other ladies singing about what you are experiencing as ladies?" The artist notes, "To me, blue grass music is about relating. Somebody identifying with what you are truly experiencing on a normal premise in your life."
As indicated by Hill, if a radio station is going to play a female blue grass music craftsman, put on a male performer right a short time later.
