'Graduate' actress Elizabeth Wilson dies at 94, Elizabeth Wilson, United Nations agency designed a career as a personality player in films like "The Graduate" and "9 to five," has died. She was 94.

Wilson, United Nations agency lived in Branford along with her sister, died Sat at Yale-New Haven Hospital, player Elizabeth jazzman, a spokesperson for the family, same Monday.

Wilson vie Dustin Hoffman's mother in "The Graduate" and therefore the character Roz in "9 to five." She had roles in nearly thirty films, together with "Catch-22" and "Regarding Henry," and appeared in varied stage and tv shows, taking part in Archie Bunker's first cousin on "All within the Family."Wilson won a Tony Award for her performance in 1972's "Sticks and Bones." She created her Great White Way debut in 1953 in "Picnic," and appeared within the Great White Way revival of "Uncle Vanya" in 1973.

"I had no need to be a star," she told The state capital Courant last July. "I wished to be a personality player and be ready to do all types of components and work on lots of things. That was my unconscious selection. I wished to be AN hugger-mugger player."

Wilson was born on Apr four, 1921, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and studied at the yank Academy of Dramatic Arts in ny.She bought a place Branford in 1988 whereas functioning at the Long Wharf Theatre.

Wilson is survived by her younger sister, Virgin Mary natural scientist Wilson, with whom she lived, and a number of other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for later this summer, jazzman same.
