Florida missing dog reunite joshua edwards

Florida missing puppy rejoin joshua edwards, A microchip and a Good Samaritan served to rejoin a Florida man and his missing pooch after over seven years.

Joshua Edwards and his now 9-year-old, 120-pound Rottweiler named Duke were united again Tuesday at Tamiami Animal Hospital.

"I think he knew who I was immediately," said Edwards, who last saw Duke in 2007, when the pooch was only a puppy and was stolen from his terrace in the Shenandoah territory. "I never thought I would see him again."

The Miami Herald reports Maria Elena Cartaya recognized the pooch a week ago meandering the avenues along Southwest 137th Avenue. She took him to Tamiami Animal Hospital, where staff checked him for a microchip.

"We generally trust the creatures have chips," veterinarian Juan Santamarina said. He said the puppy seemed as though he had been nurtured and just as of late wound up in the city.

Cartaya, with the assistance of the vet's office, found Edwards, who was recorded as the puppy's proprietor on the microchip.

Edwards took Duke home, where he joined the family's three different pooches and met Edward's wife and two youthful children.

Edwards said he wishes Duke, who's clearly more established now and experienced hip issues, could let him know where he has been and what happened.

"However, its most likely him," he said, bringing up a skin fold close to his nose. "He is most likely the same goofball."
