Gifts Pouring in for Elderly Man Who Called 911 for Food, Two days after an elderly man dialed 911 for sustenance in light of the fact that he was hungry and couldn't move, his kitchen cupboards are flooding with gifts.

A 911 administrator acted the hero this week after he called for help. The 81-year-old, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, had quite recently returned home to an unfilled icebox in the wake of spending a while in the healing center, and he said he had nobody else to swing to. The administrator landed with a container of basic supplies, and she made him a couple ham sandwiches.

A few news outlets, including ABC News, expounded on the great deed, and sustenance gifts are pouring in, Blackmon said.

"They continue getting it by the armloads," he told ABC News. "My cabinets are full. I've never had such prosperity."He has so much sustenance, that he's called a nourishment bank to impart it to others.

"Just, these are brilliant blessings," he said. "In the event that I attempted to devour all that is in my kitchen at this moment, what's in my organizers, it would take me more than a year!"

911 administrator Marilyn Hinson told ABC member WTVD that she needed to help Blackmon on the grounds that she comprehended his dilemma.

"He was hungry," Hinson said. "I've been hungry. Quite a few people can't say that, yet I can, and I can't remain for anybody to be hungry."
