Bride And Marine Pray

Bride And Marine Pray, A Marine and his bride pray, hold hands and cry in an emotional pic of their wedding day that has since spread like wildfire on the Internet. The photo was taken before the ceremony. So the groom couldn't look at his soon-to-be wife in her lovely gown in order to preserve tradition. In order to share a special moment together without ruining tradition, and while still holding hands to pray, the Marine and bride stood with their backs to the wall at a doorway adjacent to a set of stairs.

On May 24, 2015, the photographer who took the picture re-posted the touching image on Instagram with the following message. "I've been doing weddings along time now and this may be the best thing I have ever witnessed much less photograph. Before they saw each other ..before the ceremony Caleb said a prayer for their marriage and lives..so good to see in this world today.."

The incredibly moving photo shows the moment as the Marine and bride pray hand-in-hand. U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Caleb Earwood and the woman who became his wife, Maggie Earwood, spoke with Today about the magical moment that has brought tears to the eyes of untold strangers.

"We were about to take our first steps in life together, and we didn't want to take a step without it being in God's will," Caleb told Today. "I prayed to God for my beautiful and intelligent wife that he blessed me with and the amazing family I was marrying into."

"When I first grabbed his hand, he was shaking really bad, so I knew he was really nervous," his newlywed bride added. "It relieved me to know the person I was getting ready to marry felt the same way about God."

Dwayne Schmit is the man behind the viral image of the Marine and his bride holding hands to pray. He described the scene on his photography website. "Caleb held Maggie’s hand while saying a prayer for their marriage and their lives together, careful not to see her around the doorway before she walked down the aisle."
