Airbag producer Takata to announce 33.8 million vehicles flawed, Japanese airbag maker Takata Corp is required to pronounce around 33.8 million vehicles damaged on Tuesday, a move that is relied upon to prompt the biggest auto review in U.S. history, the Detroit News reported, refering to three authorities informed on the declaration.
The organization is required to declare that it has documented a progression of four deformity data reports with the U.S. National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA), proclaiming both driver and traveler air sack inflators damaged in the vehicles, the report said.
The U.S. Division of Transportation and the NHTSA said before that they would make a "noteworthy" declaration identified with the airbag review.
Takata had no prompt remark on the report.
Toyota, Nissan, and Honda, which is Takata's biggest client, have every reviewed vehicle over possibly defective airbag inflators.
