Scandal is jake deadscandal is jake dead, It is official Scandal fans! Everyone must say goodbye to James Novak. No one has to wonder who Jake killed during the last episode, because the news has exploded everywhere. The shocking part is that, David Rosen was the only one that Jake decided to leave alive. He is placed as the head for running James Novak case, and must make the murder look like a car jacking. Cyrus is in total shock, and Olivia is not taking the news well either. After finding out that Jake was the one responsible for killing James, she starts to question the purpose of her job. Her father reassures her that she must continue wearing the white hat. After pulling herself together, Olivia decides that the new target is to bring down the B613 organization.
Abby has a feeling that David is not himself. Instead of confessing, he denies that anything is wrong until Abby corners him. She demands to know the truth and David gives in. He tells Abby that Jake is responsible for killing James, Shelby, and Vanessa. He is also frightened that Jake left him alive to clean up the mess. Abby decides to run straight to Olivia, who already knows every detail. Olivia can not solve the problem right away, no matter how strongly they all feel about receiving justice. She tells James that they must be patient and alive. That is the only way to bring down B613. Everyone has to play the game Jakes way in order to carry out the plan.
Huck finds out that Quinn is apart of B613, and has revealed all the safe information. He is very upset and has every intention on killing Quinn. Once he is face to face with her, something totally different takes place. Huck shows emotion for the first time. He makes the first move and kisses Quinn. Olivia’s father also opens up about his job. He reveals to Olivia, that being responsible for 183 murders is hard to live with. He tells Olivia that it will hunt him forever, because every detail of those victims lives were exposed. He knew background information about them and made the decision to have them killed anyway.
Flash backs throughout the episode reveal how James and Cyrus first met, and their struggles through out the relationship. James Novak was the first person to call Cyrus out about is sexual preference, and of course Mr. Beene denied being gay. James did not back down, because his goal was to be with Cyrus not expose his secret. The pressure of being together was hard to handle for both Cyrus and James. James wanted Cyrus to tell the world about their relationship, but he was hesitant because of his job status. Cyrus was not sure how Fitz would handle the news. Eventually, Cyrus displays public affection and everyone in the white house finds out. At the end of all the flashbacks, Cyrus breaks down after recalling all that him and his partner had faced.
