Saudi King Salman rents DC hotel

Saudi King Salman rents DC hotel, The Four Seasons hotel got a major make over this week in anticipation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s visit to speak with President Obama.

The Saudi Arabian king had red carpets installed on every floor and even in the parking garage so the king doesn’t ever have to touch the ground, POLITICO reports.

Abdulaziz brought in his own gold furniture to turn the posh hotel into somewhat of a home-away-from-home while he is in town to talk with Obama about the Iran nuclear deal.

Special:
The Saudi king, on his first visit to the United States since he took the throne in January, was met by a fleet of black luxury sedans when he touched down at Joint Base Andrews just outside D.C.The king was then whisked away to the Four Seasons where he and his posse of diplomats, family members and employees rented out every single room, where they will stay until Saturday, USA Today reports.

People who had previously booked rooms in the hotel were forced to relocate to other hotels across the city.

Rooms at the hotel run between $575 and $1150 per night, with suites going for even more, and the hotel has 222 rooms.
