Saudi King Salman Rents DC Hotel Four Seasons

Saudi King Salman Rents DC Hotel Four Seasons, Saudi King Salman rents DC hotel the Four Seasons, the entire 222 room hotel, for his visit Friday with President Barack Obama. Salman touched down Thursday in the U.S., to a Four Seasons Hotel equipped with everything befitting a King of the oil-rich nation, including gold furniture everywhere, according the Daily Caller.

"Everything is gold," says one Four Seasons regular, who spied the deliveries arriving at the hotel. "Gold mirrors, gold end tables, gold lamps, even gold hat racks." In addition, red carpets are covering the ground beneath the King's feet everywhere he could possibly step foot. They are in the parking garage, the hallways, everywhere, so that the royal and his family do not have to step on asphalt, according to the Politico.

His custom black Mercedes fleet was also present, dozens of them, according to USA Today, when he touched down at Joint Base Andrews just outside D.C. They will be heavily used during his 3-day visit, as 79-year-old king's entourage includes Saudi diplomats, family members and assistants.

Security is also key, normal for this type of visit for certain, but officials remember all too well the Iranian intelligence linked 2011 bomb plot on Saudi Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir when he visited the U.S.

King Salman bin Abdulaziz is in town for his first visit to the U.S., to speak with the president about the Iran nuclear deal.
