Dwayne Johnson jumps fully clothed into pool to rescue new puppies from drowning

Dwayne Johnson jumps fully clothed into pool to rescue new puppies from drowning, Dwayne Johnson often plays heroes on the big screen — but he’s one in real life too.

The “San Andreas” star saved his two new French bulldog puppies from drowning just moments after bringing them home, he revealed Monday on Instagram.

He posted a photo of himself in his pool holding his two new adorable pups Brutus and Hobbs, and shared his tale of his Labor Day heroics.

Johnson had taken his new dogs outside so they could “start learning how to handle their business and potty like big boys.”

“I set them both down and they both take off in a full sprint and fall right into the deep end of the pool,” the 43-year-old recalled.

“Hobbs immediately starts doggy paddling while Brutus (like a brick) sink heads first to the bottom of the pool.”

Johnson didn’t hesitate to save the new members of the family and took off “into a full sprint, fully clothed” into the pool to save Brutus.

After the puppy was rescued, the movie star wrote that Brutus recovered pretty quickly from the scare.“He took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, ‘Thank God you didn’t have to give me mouth to mouth!’ and then ran off to play with his brother.”

Johnson then shared a few lessons he learned from the incident, including that “not all puppies have the instinct to doggie paddle” and that some puppies like Brutus will be in “shock by experiencing water,” leading them to “sink quickly extremely fast so react quick.”

The "Ballers" star also joked that when leaping into the water to rescue someone, “throw you cel(l) phone to safety. Don’t try to keep it in your pocket... like I did.”

He then summed up the day’s events with some hashtags, including, “BRUTUSLives,” “#HOBBSCanSwim,” #MYCelPhonesDead” and “#HappyLaborDay.”

Johnson's puppy-rescuing skills will surely come in handy for one of his next movie projects, a remake of the hit TV series “Baywatch.”
